Alvin Johnson

Alvin Johnson is a nationally recognized real estate developer and thought leader with over 35 years of experience in construction, finance, and affordable housing. From humble beginnings as a handyman offering painting services door-to-door, Alvin has built a legacy of empowering communities through quality housing and financial education.He currently serves as CEO of Multifamily Monopoly (MFM), an innovative platform providing education and mentorship for aspiring multifamily investors. Alvin is also at the helm of Assertive Management Group, LLC, overseeing operations for HOPE’s nonprofit affordable housing properties.

Previously, Alvin was Vice President and Interim President of the American Housing Foundation (AHF) in Amarillo, Texas. Under his leadership, AHF expanded to manage over 16,000 units, housing more than 50,000 individuals, and secured over $400 million in financing to reposition assets using traditional bank loans, tax-exempt bonds, and private capital.

Alvin also founded Wholesale Lending Exchange, Inc., the mortgage banking division of Icon Mortgage. Between 1996 and 2008, the platform funded over 8,000 single-family residential loans, exceeding $1.5 billion in volume.

To meet the rising demand for high-quality housing for families and aging populations, Alvin launched Springboard Real Estate Advisors (SREA), a fully integrated consulting and lending firm for Build-to-Rent (BTR) and multifamily developments. He holds a General Contractor license with reciprocity across nine states, bringing extensive regulatory and field experience to all of his development projects.

This experience prepared him for balancing high-stakes negotiations, risk management, and financial precision, given his expertise as a prior Certified Public Accountant.
